Activist researchers we delivered two participatory research projects and reports in 2018 WomenPowerPolitics for the British Council and Tackling Socio-Economic Inequalities Locally for Just Fair. The LGA are due to launch our toolkit '21st Century Councils - Enabling and supporting women, parents and carers to stand and serve in local government' in early 2019.

We had an uplifting time working with the Pankhurst Trust on the Some Women RiseVoiceVote Centenary City project - connecting young people with local women's activism of past and present.  Check out this video from our RiseVoiceVote project hackday.

As co-leads for the Parliament Project North we facilitated 8 workshops; delivered a webinar series; and designed and facilitated an online peer-support circles programme.  We are excited about supporting even more women in 2019.

As co-leads for the Parliament Project North we facilitated workshops in Manchester, Wigan, Stockport, Macclesfield, London, Bristol, York and Liverpool demystifying the pathway to politics and help provide the support and information women need to make progress along their own pathway.   We also delivered a webinar series and an online peer-support circles programme.  We are excited about supporting even more women in 2019.

of the 160+ women signed up for our latest online peer-support circles programme to help them progress along their political pathway.  Will be interesting to see if any came to the workshops in Wigan, Stockport or Manchester.  The last cohort said it was life changing and a few participants have since been elected.   We've run different iterations internationally as a 'working out loud' coach certification circle with John Stepper and as coaching circles for women social entrepreneurs in Manchester.  I'd love to adapt and trial with GM leaders!

In other news, I've just swapped messages with Donna Hall and Bev Hughes and believe we have a potential date to meet with Brenda soon around a draft work programme we've been pulling together to turbo charge women and girls in Greater Manchester.

I should hear any day now whether our 'Power up Women and Girls in Greater Manchester' application to Comic Relief for £750,000 has got past stage one, GMCVO one of the partners and we'd be looking to work collaboratively as a broad GM coalition of partners if successful.  Fingers crossed.

If you need uplifting check out this video from our RiseVoiceVote project last year with 16+ schools in Mcr and GM.
